Ransomware

Whilst you may be tiring of hearing about Ransomware and would love to ignore it, it’s becoming less likely it will ignore you!  With a sharp increase in the number of cyber attacks highlighted by the recent, formidable WannaCry attack which crippled many NHS Trusts, Ransomware is a clear and present danger for all businesses and organisations.

The good news is that you can protect against Ransomware and other malware and stop it completely, avoiding the disruption we have recently seen across the media.  We invite you to join AVR and SentinelOne for breakfast in Manchester on Wednesday 12th July 2017 and find out how.

The Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI) in the centre of Manchester is the iconic venue for the AVR and SentinelOne Ransomware Breakfast which will take place from 8.30 am on Wednesday 12th July 2017. The Museum of Science & Industry is a fascinating place to review over 250 years of discoveries and innovations, including parts from one of the first commercially available computers as shown in our featured image.

Our information security experts will be discussing the current level and scope of threats, where they originated, how they gain access through Endpoints and the harm they can cause.  They will also show the actions you can take to protect your valuable data and systems and how you can rescue the information if it has been compromised. Along with like minded peers and colleagues, we also invite you to enjoy a delicious breakfast and take the opportunity to network and discuss relevant information security issues.

Our primary speaker will be Andy Norton, the Risk Officer for SentinelOne.
